About This Launch
Starry Forecast gives any city a stargazing outlook for tonight and the next 7 nights, combining cloud cover, moonlight, darkness and visibility.
It also has an aurora tool using NOAA data, a meteor shower calendar and moon phase guides. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo and 7Timer.
Why I Built This
Checking whether a night was worth going outside with a telescope meant juggling cloud charts, moon phases and darkness times across several different sites. Starry Forecast combines them into one stargazing outlook for any city, using open weather data.
