Church bookkeepers and treasurers who use Planning Center Giving usually export a payout report, sort it by fund and type a journal entry into QuickBooks by hand, with processing fees and refunds handled separately. OfferingSync is a tool we're building to do that automatically: connect Planning Center and QuickBooks Online, map your funds once, and it will post one entry per payout, already split by fund, with processing fees going to your fee expense account, refunds reversed against the right fund, and cash and check batches posted once they're committed. QuickBooks Online comes first, with Xero support planned after that. It isn't built yet. Join the early access list and we'll email you when it opens. Free step-by-step guides for doing this by hand are on the site. OfferingSync is independent and not affiliated with Planning Center, Intuit or Xero.
I work in payments, and I kept seeing the same problem: a platform pays out one net deposit, and someone has to rebuild the sales, fees and refunds behind it by hand in QuickBooks. I'm testing whether a narrow tool for each platform is worth building before writing the code, so the waitlist tells me who actually needs it.
