ReClaim is a minimalist Android launcher that flips the usual phone setup: useful apps stay one tap away while distracting apps take a moment of intention. It replaces your home screen so its rules apply system-wide. The calm home screen shows a clock and favorites; swipe right for an icon-free alphabetical list of every app.
For autopilot apps, ReClaim offers app blocking from 5 minutes to a year, daily and weekly limits that close apps when time is up, reminders that ask how long you intend to use an app, scheduled blocking for work hours or bedtime, and hidden apps with three levels of friction. It is free, has no ads, needs no account, runs blocking and limits on-device without an internet connection, and does not sell personal data. It supports Android 8.0+ phones and tablets and requires no root.
ReClaim is pre-launch, in final testing ahead of its Google Play release. Google Play release is pending; join the waitlist at https://www.tryreclaim.io/#get-started.
Hi, I'm Tal, the maker of ReClaim. It's built around one question: "Does this make it easier to use your phone on purpose, or easier to lose an hour to it?" Instead of tracking screen time after the fact, ReClaim replaces your launcher. The apps you mean to use stay one tap away, and the ones you open on autopilot need a moment of intention first: a timed block, a daily limit, a "how long?" reminder, or a quick challenge. It's free, has no ads, needs no account, and runs on-device. I'd love feedback on which friction level actually works for you.
