About This Launch
PwdGen generates random passwords using the browser Web Crypto API. Create batches of 5, 10 or 20 passwords from 6 to 64 characters, exclude similar or ambiguous characters, and see a security score with a crack-time estimate. Passwords are generated and evaluated locally and are not uploaded or saved. It works in current Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox and mobile browsers.
The site is free, lists no paid plans and needs no account. It offers 60 country, region and worldwide versions.
Why I Built This
The builder wanted a password generator that never sends passwords to a server, so everything is generated locally in the browser.
