Practical Ops Studio is developing an Excel-based Compliance Control Testing & Remediation Toolkit for compliance managers, risk and internal control professionals, and independent consultants.
The toolkit is designed to connect risks, controls, testing procedures, evidence, findings and corrective actions in one traceable workflow. Its purpose is to help professionals distinguish between controls that merely exist and controls whose operating effectiveness has actually been demonstrated.
The project is currently in the early-access validation stage. We are collecting feedback and assessing purchase interest before finalising the product and licensing terms. No payment is being accepted at this stage.
In legal and compliance work, I have seen how easily control documentation, testing evidence and remediation actions can become fragmented across spreadsheets, reports and emails. I started developing this toolkit to make the process more structured, traceable and practical, particularly for professionals who do not have access to complex enterprise GRC software. The goal is not to automate legal judgement or promise compliance, but to provide a clear workflow that supports responsible testing, evidence-based conclusions and follow-up on corrective actions. I am now validating whether this approach addresses a genuine need before launching the finished product.
