Payload Components is an MIT-licensed, community-first registry and CLI for installing typed Payload CMS blocks into Payload v3 + Next.js projects. It copies each block as reviewable source code, then registers it in the Pages collection, maps it in RenderBlocks, regenerates Payload types, and refreshes the admin import map. Developers keep full ownership of every installed file and can preview the exact change first with npx payload-components add hero-basic --dry-run.
Payload blocks are not live when their files land: each one still needs collection registration, renderer mapping, generated types, and an admin import-map update. I built Payload Components to make that repetitive wiring reviewable and repeatable while keeping the resulting code fully owned by the developer.
