About This Launch
A free character counter that shows what 'length' really means: graphemes, code points, UTF-16 units, UTF-8 bytes, with and without spaces, plus X's weighted count (CJK/emoji = 2, URL = 23) and SMS GSM-7 vs UCS-2 segments. Korean and English pages (/en/). Runs in your browser; text is never sent to a server.
Why I Built This
Different counters give different numbers for the same text, especially emoji, Korean and SMS. I wanted one page that names each count side by side, with no signup and no uploads.
