Burn Subtitles is a free browser-based tool for adding permanent subtitles to videos. Import an SRT or VTT file, or type captions with timestamps. Adjust the subtitle style and timing, preview the result, and export an MP4 without a watermark. No account is required, and videos are processed on your device.
It works with existing or manually written captions. It does not transcribe speech or generate captions automatically. Processing speed and supported file sizes depend on your browser and device. Use short clips on phones.
The project focuses on a specific gap: editing subtitle text is not the same as producing an MP4 with permanent captions. Burn Subtitles provides that export directly in the browser, using existing SRT/VTT files or manually written captions. It keeps video processing on the user's device.
