About This Launch
Brief is a free macOS menu-bar app for reading long AI-generated text. Press Control-X on any window and Brief returns only the lines that change what you do next. It works in browsers, chat apps and terminals, uses the transcript on YouTube, and shapes the output to the source: an answer for chats, ordered points for videos, and what changed plus what to check for pull requests. It runs on your existing Claude or ChatGPT plan, or on-device with Apple Intelligence. No account needed.
Why I Built This
Long AI-generated answers, documents, videos and pull requests take time to read, and usually only a few lines change what you do next. Brief was built to return just those lines when you press Control-X on any window.
