WinRansomProtect is an anti-ransomware app for Windows. It watches for file encryption and blocks it locally using rule-based detection, with 27 rules in Standard mode and more in Enhanced and Custom modes. It runs without cloud processing. A 14-day trial is available, licensing is by email activation, and optional update checks are included.

I was frustrated with how bloated modern antivirus has become. A friend's small business got hit by ransomware because they couldn't afford enterprise security. I just wanted something that runs 100% locally, doesn't upload my files, and actually stops encryption without killing my PC's performance. So I built it.
