WeChat to Markdown (wx2md) is a local-first Chrome extension for turning WeChat Official Account articles into Markdown. Parsing happens in the browser and article bodies are never uploaded. Export clean Markdown and optional image ZIPs for Obsidian, SiYuan, Typora, or VS Code. Free and MIT open source.
Why I Built This
I wanted a private, durable way to keep useful WeChat reading instead of leaving articles trapped in a web feed. wx2md makes personal knowledge portable and searchable while keeping article content on the user's device.
