VideoTextRemover is an online AI tool that removes burned-in subtitles, captions, titles and timestamps from MP4 or MOV files. It repaints the background instead of blurring or cropping, though large text, busy backgrounds and moving text can leave traces. Modes are Select area, Subtitles and All text.
The free tier gives 30 seconds per month after Google sign-in, subject to eligibility. Paid plans bill 1 credit per second processed, from about $0.025 to $0.040 per second. Output is MP4 up to 1080p, and files are deleted after 7 days. Processing is slow. Terms prohibit removing watermarks or credits that identify a video's owner.
Burned-in subtitles sit in the video pixels, so the usual fixes are blur or crop. VideoTextRemover was built to repaint the area behind the text instead.
