About This Launch
Tax Title and License Calculator is a free estimator for US car buyers. Choose a state and enter a vehicle price to estimate sales tax, title fees, registration and plate fees. State pages show the tax rate, title and tag fees and a worked example, with notes on trade-ins, rebates, dealer fees and electric and hybrid vehicle fees.
The tool is free to use and runs on the web only. A methodology page, a data sources page and an update log explain how the figures are built. Results are estimates, not quotes. The site is not affiliated with any state DMV.

Built to help US car buyers see what a vehicle will cost once tax, title, registration and license fees are added, before they sign.
