About This Launch
ShapeScan gives makers a clean starting point for recreating a flat physical part. Place a non-overlapping object on its marker sheet, take a straight-down photo, and export a true-scale SVG or DXF for CAD, laser cutting, CNC, foam inserts or templates. It is for 2D outlines only: measure depth and hidden features separately.
Why I Built This
Recreating small brackets, gaskets and tool outlines often begins with tracing or manual measurements. We built ShapeScan to remove the repetitive perimeter-tracing step while keeping the workflow honest: users still validate critical dimensions and model depth in CAD.
