What did $100 mean to someone a century ago? How big is a billion dollars? RealWorth.io makes these questions easier to explore with free calculators, interactive charts, maps, and 3D visualizations.

Compare purchasing power across time. Where historical data is available, put amounts into context through wages and everyday purchases. Explore the physical scale of a billion dollars, follow global money flows, or examine the security features of a $100 bill in an interactive 3D view.

Built for curious readers, students, teachers, and history enthusiasts, RealWorth.io connects financial numbers with things people can picture and understand. It combines historical calculations with visual explanations, bringing everyday context to inflation and large sums of money.

Everything runs in your browser, with no account or subscription required. Published sources and methodology explain how comparisons are calculated and where historical estimates have limitations.

I wanted to make money easier to understand. An old salary, a price in a history book, or a billion-dollar figure in the news can be hard to put into perspective. An inflation conversion helps, but it still leaves questions: Was that a lot of money at the time? How much work did it represent? What could someone buy with it? I built RealWorth.io to explore those questions through calculations and visual comparisons. The project also grew to include interactive experiences about the physical scale of money and the details inside a banknote. My goal is to make something people can explore out of curiosity, use while reading about history, or bring into a classroom, without needing a background in economics.
