PDF Accessibility Checker is a free browser-local pre-check for one unlocked PDF up to 20 MB. It flags machine-verifiable signals for document title, primary language, tags and structure, likely image-only pages, links, and form fields, then presents explainable results and manual-review guidance. The selected PDF, filename, extracted text, hash, and local path are not sent to the server. The tool is not WCAG, PDF/UA, Section 508, or legal certification. Reading order, alternative-text quality, complex tables, color contrast, and real assistive-technology experience still require manual review. Scanned or image-only PDFs may need OCR first; OCR and complete automatic remediation are not included.

We created PDF Accessibility Checker to give document teams a private browser-local pre-check that turns technical PDF accessibility signals into understandable next steps while preserving the need for human review.
