Shopify deposits one net payout for many orders, refunds, fees and adjustments, and order-by-order syncs often leave the bank feed impossible to match, with tax lumped into one line. PayoutClerk is a tool we're building to post one summary entry per Shopify payout to QuickBooks Online or Xero, so every deposit matches. Each entry will split out sales, refunds and chargebacks, processing fees to your fee expense account, gift card sales and redemptions, and sales tax by jurisdiction. It isn't built yet. Join the early access list and we'll email you when it opens. Free guides on reconciling Shopify payouts in QuickBooks Online and Xero are on the site. PayoutClerk is independent and not affiliated with Shopify, Intuit or Xero.
I work in payments, and I kept seeing the same problem: a platform pays out one net deposit, and someone has to rebuild the sales, fees and refunds behind it by hand in QuickBooks. I'm testing whether a narrow tool for each platform is worth building before writing the code, so the waitlist tells me who actually needs it.
