MyGenogramMaker is a browser-based tool for creating clear and editable genograms and family relationship diagrams. Users can add family members, organize multiple generations, connect parents and children, represent marriages and partnerships, and document important family context visually.
The editor supports standard family symbols, medical context, relationship lines, household boundaries, twins, adoption information, notes, and editable templates. It helps users create more informative diagrams than a traditional family tree while avoiding the complexity of general-purpose design software.
The free editor works directly in the browser without requiring registration. Projects are saved locally in the user’s browser by default. Optional sign-in enables cloud saving, while paid options provide watermark-free PNG exports and additional cloud project capacity.
MyGenogramMaker can be useful for students, educators, counselors, therapists, social workers, genealogists, and individuals exploring their family history. It focuses on practical diagram creation and visual communication and does not present itself as a medical or diagnostic service.
I built MyGenogramMaker because most family diagram tools are either too complicated, expensive, or designed only for traditional family trees. I wanted to create a simpler browser-based tool that helps people clearly map family structures, relationships, and important context without installing software or creating an account.
