Markedfile adds an invisible mark to your files for each recipient. Upload a file, assign a private recipient identifier and download a copy with the mark. If a copy leaks, upload the leaked file or a screenshot to trace it to the identifier. The page says recovery is best effort, confidence scores are heuristics and tracing is not guaranteed.
The Free plan is $0 with 5 active files and 6 months of detection, and excludes video, MCP, API and the PDF evidence report. Paid plans per month: Starter $9.99, Pro $19.99, Business $49.99 and Enterprise custom, with a 14-day trial that requires a card. Formats include PNG, JPEG, WebP, PDFs, text and Office files, with video (MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV) on paid plans only. It is a web app, with an MCP connector on Pro and above and an API on Business and up.
Markedfile was built because teams that share files such as identity-verification PDFs and photos need to know which copy went where, and no simple platform existed.
