About This Launch
GetYouTubeTranscript turns YouTube videos into text. Paste a link to get a clean transcript, or use the REST API to fetch transcripts, search YouTube, and list channel/playlist videos without a Google API key. Also works as a remote MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, an n8n community node, and a Chrome extension.

Why I Built This
I kept needing to grab YouTube transcripts for research and content repurposing and got tired of copy-pasting from third-party sites, so I built an API and MCP server.
