About This Launch
Geo China (地理中国) is a Chinese-language spatiotemporal knowledge experience. It places China's historical administrative regions on a 3D globe with a timeline, and links places to related poetry, battles, people and landscapes. An English version is available at /en.
The site credits its data sources (DataV, CHGIS/TGAZ and CBDB) and has a data and licensing page. It is an educational and cultural product for Chinese readers, not a professional surveying or GIS suite.
Why I Built This
Geo China was built to let Chinese readers explore how China's administrative geography changed over time, and to jump from a place to linked poetry, battles, people and local lore.
