About This Launch
Garage Heat Lab is a free browser calculator for sizing a garage heater, with no sign-up. Enter your garage size, insulation and winter temperatures to get the heat needed in BTU per hour, the equivalent electric watts and a suggested heater size class. Results update as you type.
Running-cost estimates use editable reference energy prices. You can download results as CSV, print or save a PDF, and copy iframe embed code. The layout is responsive, and the site links to heater guides and related calculators.
Why I Built This
Homeowners were guessing heater size and running cost for their garages. This calculator was built to give a free, in-browser starting estimate.
