FastShare is a free file transfer app for Android and Windows. Send photos, videos, apps, music and whole folders between phones, and between phones and PCs. Phone to phone transfers use Wi-Fi Direct, on 5 GHz when both phones support it. Phone to PC works over the same Wi-Fi or by pairing with a QR code. It supports big files (4 GB+), folders, resuming a cut transfer and a live speed readout.
Browser mode lets any laptop download or upload through its web browser, so Mac, Linux and Chromebook users can join in without an app. The Android app (7.0+) is ad-supported, so it uses the internet for ads. The Windows app (Windows 7 SP1, 8.1, 10 and 11) has no ads and comes as a 64-bit installer, a 64-bit portable zip and a 32-bit installer. No sign-up is needed, and the site calls it freeware. Speeds vary with your devices and Wi-Fi band.
FastShare started because sending big videos between phones and to a PC was slow and full of ads. The builder wanted a free, simple app that uses a direct Wi-Fi link and shows the live speed.
