About This Launch
Fabylon Bookmaker is free, local-first book publishing software for poets and authors. It imports Word, ODT, EPUB and PDF with their structure preserved, scans metre and sound locally, and exports print-ready PDF, EPUB, KDP-ready Word and covers from one typeset pass. The first public Windows release opens at the end of August 2026; macOS and Linux follow.
Why I Built This
I am a poet and publisher who kept seeing poetry forced through generic page-layout software. Line, stanza, sound and metre are not decoration; they are part of the work. I built Bookmaker so writers can produce a serious book locally without renting their own press or surrendering the manuscript to hidden AI.
