EV Charging Cost estimates the monthly or yearly cost of charging an electric vehicle by car model and US state, and compares it against a gas car. A slider sets the split between home and public charging, defaulting to 80% home and 20% public. It also applies a winter efficiency correction and creates shareable URLs.
It is free, needs no signup and runs in your browser. Efficiency data comes from EPA ratings on fueleconomy.gov, and residential electricity rates come from EIA state data.
Built as a free tool to help EV owners understand and compare home and public charging costs by car model and US state.
