DNIe para Mac is a Mac App Store app that reads the card data and photo of the Spanish electronic ID (DNIe) with your PIN. It signs PDFs and other files in PAdES, CAdES and XAdES, with an optional visible signature and RFC-3161 timestamp, and validates signed PDFs. It also launches Spanish e-government sites.
Reading, signing, validating, the site launcher and demo mode are free, with no account. DNIe Pro adds authentication in Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox for 9,99 € per year (3-day free trial) or 44,99 € once. It needs macOS 13 or later and a USB CCID reader. Unofficial, not affiliated with the Spanish police, Interior Ministry or government.
Using the Spanish electronic ID on a Mac meant relying on clunky, outdated official tools. DNIe para Mac was built as a modern alternative for reading, signing and validating documents.
