About This Launch
Discover Alone is a free map of more than a million places, people and events across Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. Search a town, use your location or tap the map to find castles, ruins, beaches and local history nearby. Explorer Tom makes the place pages lively and a little cheeky, then offers practical tips for an actual outing. No account is needed to explore; an optional account lets you keep Want to do and Done lists and share pictures or stories.
Why I Built This
Rickie built Discover Alone because a map pin by itself is a poor guide. He wanted a free way to find odd places nearby, connect their stories and make the journey feel like a trip with a mate. You go alone, but you always have Explorer Tom to bring the fun, tips and guidance.
