Design Previewer is a Windows 10 and 11 app that shows real thumbnails and a preview pane for design files in File Explorer, so you can find a file without opening it in Photoshop, Illustrator or CorelDRAW. It covers 28 file extensions across formats such as PSD, AI, CDR, EPS, INDD, Figma and Blender, and it works without the original design software installed.
It runs offline and the site says it uploads nothing. There is a 15 day full trial with no account or card needed. After that it is $7 a year, with updates while active, or $15 one time.
As designers, the team kept searching through thousands of design files when Windows only showed generic icons, and finding one old project meant opening several files just to see what was inside. Design Previewer was built to make design files show thumbnails the way photos do.
