Codex hits a usage limit and a long-running AI coding task stops while you are away. Continua is a native Mac menu-bar utility designed to preserve a supported interrupted task, wait for usage availability to return, and continue the same task in its verified original environment.
The current experimental beta is free for macOS 13+, on Apple silicon and Intel. No purchase, licence key or donation is required. Continua does not bypass limits or add quota, and is independent of OpenAI. The download is unsigned; the website has illustrated installation instructions. Unattended quota recovery and physical sleep/wake acceptance are still being verified. Try it with an unimportant task and share feedback through the website.
The screenshot shows a newer local development build; its latest fixes are not yet in the public download.

I use Codex for long-running development tasks. Coming back to find a task stopped at a usage limit made me want a way to preserve it and continue when usage returns, without checking repeatedly. I am building Continua to test that workflow with other Mac users.
