CiteProof checks case citations against CourtListener and U.S. Code citations against GovInfo, and marks each as Verified, Needs attention or Couldn't check. You paste a brief or upload a .docx or .pdf. The page says no AI model sees the brief and that extraction and lookup are deterministic.
Existence checks are free with no signup. Quote verification and the downloadable Verification Record cost $49 for one brief or $199 for five. It does not check state statutes or regulations, or whether an authority is still good law.
I built CiteProof after following court cases where attorneys were sanctioned because an LLM fabricated case law that went unnoticed during drafting. Telling AI not to hallucinate does not work, so I wanted a strict, deterministic check against public records.
