burn0ut is a low-pressure support app designed for people experiencing burnout, exhaustion, or overwhelming days. It helps users figure out what they need based on their current capacity, rather than giving them another long list of things they “should” do. The app offers simple, manageable support through grounding activities, low-effort food suggestions, conversation, and small next steps. It solves the problem of feeling too overwhelmed to know where to start, especially when traditional wellness and productivity apps can feel like another source of pressure. What makes burn0ut different is its capacity-first approach: instead of asking users to push through or do more, it meets them where they are and adjusts the experience to what they can realistically handle in that moment.
I built burn0ut because, through my diverse corporate background, I’ve seen firsthand how much work can shape our wellbeing. The idea became especially personal during the recent wave of layoffs, when many colleagues and people in my wider network were suddenly impacted. I also know from experience how difficult these situations can be, the uncertainty, loss of confidence, pressure, and emotional toll they can take on you. I wanted to create something simple and supportive for those moments when people are struggling, overwhelmed, or simply don’t have the capacity to figure out what they need. burn0ut was born from a desire to turn those experiences into something that helps people feel a little less alone and a little more supported when they need it most.
