About This Launch
Black Screen is a free browser-based display utility that lets users instantly open pure black, white, red, green, blue and other fullscreen colors. It is useful for checking dead or stuck pixels, inspecting monitor uniformity and backlight bleed, reducing unwanted second-monitor light, testing OLED displays and creating distraction-free screen space. No signup or installation is required.
Why I Built This
Many basic display tasks should not require installing dedicated software. Black Screen was created to provide a simple browser-based place where anyone can instantly open clean fullscreen colors for monitor testing, pixel checks, focus, lighting and everyday display use.
