Billmates is a web app, still on the waitlist, that tracks who owes what in a shared home. It never holds or moves money. You pay each other the way you already do, and roommates join from a browser link.
While it is being built, Billmates offers two free calculators that need no signup: a rent splitter that divides rent by room size, private bathroom or income, and a utility bill splitter that divides electricity, water, gas and internet by days at home. There are also short guides for common roommate situations, such as a roommate who is away or moves out mid-month. Leave an email to hear when the app is ready.
