BashCut is a native macOS video editor with a layered timeline and built-in terminals for coding agents. Its CLI and MCP server let agents inspect footage and make visible, atomic, undoable edits while projects remain local as plain JSON files.

Video editors are designed for direct mouse interaction, while coding agents usually work through opaque scripts. BashCut was built to connect those worlds so an agent can help edit video without hiding what changed or taking control away from the editor.
