About This Launch
AutoDub is a browser extension that dubs YouTube videos with AI voice in your chosen language, in sync with the video, and shows bilingual subtitles. It works in Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers, with a Firefox version on Firefox Add-ons. It is free for personal use today, and no account is required at present. Videos need a caption track (auto-generated captions count); live streams are not supported. AutoDub is not affiliated with YouTube.
Why I Built This
So much great video on YouTube is locked behind a language barrier, and subtitles alone make it hard to follow along. We wanted anyone to be able to watch any video in their own language, free, with no account and no limits.
